Venue Technology Supervisor

About the role

Legends Global is hiring a Venue Technology Supervisor for the Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden. The role provides event-day setup and support of point-of-sale systems, desktop support for internal staff and troubleshooting of hardware and software. Candidates must be customer service focused, able to work independently and flexible to support other Legends Hospitality locations, including late nights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Provide event-day setup and support of multiple point-of-sale systems
• Provide desktop support services to internal staff
• Work with vendors and service providers to resolve issues and implement changes
• Communicate professionally across all managerial levels
• Provide level 1 and 2 support of point-of-sale system problems and escalate with service providers when needed
• Initiate and implement improvements in areas of responsibility
• Serve as the building-wide point of contact for IT matters
• Conduct stadium walk-throughs to check systems are operational before and during events
• Replace defective hardware and diagnose software, firmware and hardware errors
• Track RMA's of equipment inbound and outbound for repairs
• Report to the stadium no less than 4 hours before each game or event, as directed

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field (experience can substitute for education)
• 1-3+ years of relevant work experience
• Ability to work during most events, including late nights and weekends, and to arrive at the stadium at least 4 hours early
• Flexible scheduling and reliable transportation; may be asked to work events at other Legends sites in the LA/OC area
• Physical ability to lift and carry items weighing 10-30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds

• Basic PC hardware knowledge
• Networking including TCP/IP and VLANs
• Windows 2003, 2008, 2008R2 administration
• Wireless LAN concepts
• Windows XP/7 and Microsoft Office Suite
• Virtual environments (servers and desktops)
• CAT5/6 crimping and LAN cabling
• Quest, Counterpoint or SQL systems
• Preferred: event support or retail sales experience and relevant certifications
