Venue Technology Assistant - North Island Credit Union Amphitheater

About the role

A Venue Technology Assistant is needed for the North Island Credit Union Amphitheater, providing hands-on support for point-of-sale systems and equipment during events. The role covers troubleshooting, maintenance and quick fixes, with a pay rate of $21.50.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to all point-of-sale system problems and escalate when necessary
• Initiate and implement improvements in your area of responsibility
• Walk through the venue to make sure all systems are operational before and during events
• Replace defective hardware before, during and after events
• Diagnose software, firmware and hardware errors and breakage
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of the organization and adhere to all standards and practices
• Follow safety policies, complete company-wide and job-specific safety training, and practice safe work habits

Required profile

• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize and complete several tasks efficiently and on time
• Strong verbal and written communication and the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments
• Ability to stand and walk long distances and to lift at least 50 lbs

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including the operating system and Office systems
• Effective oral presentation and written communication skills
