About the role
The Utility Floater is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and disinfected workplace environment. This position works across various building areas, ensuring that all surfaces and facilities are kept to high hygiene standards.
Key responsibilities
- Clean interior spaces including floors, carpets, rugs, windows, walls, and general areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, elevators, stairs, locker rooms, and other work zones.
- Remove stains from chairs and upholstered furniture and keep all furniture dust‑free.
- Clean lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, moldings, and glass mirrors.
- Empty and clean trash cans, ashtrays, and recycling containers; dispose of waste appropriately.
- Disinfect high‑touch items such as desks, door handles, office tools, and phones.
- Maintain and restock restroom supplies, clean restrooms, and ensure sanitary conditions.
- Wash windows and mirrors; clear sidewalks of trash and snow when required.
- Track inventory of cleaning supplies, request missing items, and maintain a cleaning log.
- Report unsafe conditions, follow safety protocols, and lift up to 50 lb.
- Close doors at the end of the night shift.

- Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.

- Reliability for night‑shift duties and closing responsibilities.
