Utility Associate – 3rd Shift

About the role

The Utility Associate works the third shift (Monday‑Friday, 9:00 pm‑5:30 am) and fills in for regular workers who are absent. The role includes on‑the‑job training, cross‑training new and current associates, and ensuring all tasks are performed in line with company policies and animal welfare guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Independently perform all duties in the assigned area when the regular worker is absent.
• Distribute, swap, and collect knives before, during, and after the shift.
• Set up production lines with stands and ice.
• Train and cross‑train incoming or current workers on new skills as needed.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area around the assigned line.
• Follow all company, local, state, and federal policies, including NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to perform one or more functions of the deboning process.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and capacity to work unsupervised.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
• Strong work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
