Upstream Oil & Gas Manager – Digital Transformation

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Upstream Oil & Gas Manager to lead digital transformation initiatives across field automation, remote operations, reliability, and AI-driven analytics. The role sits within the AI & Engineering / Industry Solutions team and works closely with senior operational and engineering leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of upstream digital transformation projects, including SCADA, DCS, PLC, and edge‑to‑cloud architectures.
• Build and maintain relationships with VP‑level and director‑level stakeholders to translate drilling, production, artificial lift, and well integrity challenges into technology‑enabled solutions.
• Guide cross‑functional teams across strategy, controls engineering, data science, and change management to meet scope, budget, and milestones.
• Contribute to proposal development, reusable methods, and mentorship of junior practitioners.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in upstream oil & gas at an operator, oilfield services firm, or OEM.
• Proven track record delivering field automation, IT/OT integration, remote operations, reliability‑centered maintenance, or AI/analytics projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
