About the role
The Unlicensed Assistant supports the perioperative team by ensuring a clean, safe, and organized environment. This entry‑level position involves hands‑on tasks that directly contribute to patient care and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect medical equipment and devices according to protocol.
- Transport patients safely within the facility.
- Perform basic data entry and documentation tasks.
- Assist clinical staff with duties that fall within the unlicensed scope of practice.
- Maintain an orderly work area throughout the perioperative process.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of computer use.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Comfortable interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Ability to provide verification of a tuberculin skin test (TST) as required by state law.
Required skills
- Computer literacy.
