About the role
The University Police Officer provides law‑enforcement services on the University of Arkansas at Monticello campus, ensuring safety and compliance with traffic, criminal, and parking regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Enforce traffic and criminal laws, parking regulations, and conduct accident investigations.
- Perform criminal investigations and support public safety operations.
- Serve in a supervisory or lead capacity within the campus public safety team as needed.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Certification or ability to obtain Arkansas Law Enforcement Certification within one year.
- Authorization to carry a weapon for law‑enforcement duties.
- Ability to pass criminal background, sex offender registry, and substance‑abuse screenings.
