Union Porter – Summer Seasonal Role

About the role

Greystar is seeking a seasonal Union Porter to maintain the appearance and safety of its Brooklyn community at 461 Dean. This temporary position runs through the summer and supports both residents and the service team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect common areas throughout the day, removing litter, debris, and pet droppings.
• Collect trash from vacant apartments, transport it to dumpsters or storage, and keep storage areas clean.
• Perform minor service requests and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turnovers.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify pool gate functionality.
• Distribute resident notices and communicate relevant information.
• Report hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance complaints.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete OSHA and other required training, and report incidents accurately.

• Ability to work independently and follow established safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining curb appeal.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with residents and team members.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, and climbing ladders.
