Unemployment Compliance Analyst

About the role

The Unemployment Compliance Analyst supports Chipotle’s People Operations team by managing unemployment claims and ensuring compliance with state and internal procedures. This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to meet tight deadlines while handling confidential employee information.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to unemployment claims within required timeframes and provide supporting documentation.
• Serve as liaison for state adjudicator calls, decisions, and unemployment hearings.
• Coordinate claim review and analysis with third‑party vendors, maintaining confidentiality.
• Prepare and maintain standard operating procedures and monthly scorecard reports on claim status.
• Handle verification of employment, income, and state audit requests.
• Provide unemployment‑related data to other internal teams as needed.
• Support projects related to compliance, employment eligibility, onboarding, and employee data management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in Human Resources, employment compliance, or unemployment processing.
• Restaurant or retail experience is highly desired.
• Excellent analytical, research, and time‑management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite – Word, Outlook, Excel (functions and formulas).
• Experience with Alteryx and/or Power BI.
• Familiarity with Kronos, Workday, and ServiceNow (or similar case‑management tools).
