Undergraduate Brand Design Intern – Safety & Industrial Business Group

About the role

The Undergraduate Brand Design Intern will join 3M's Safety & Industrial Business Group (SIBG) design team for a 10‑12 week, full‑time internship starting in Summer 2027. You will work on real business challenges, applying human‑centered design to products, packaging, digital experiences and visual systems.

Key responsibilities

• Support creation of visual assets for marketing, product launches, packaging, digital content and sales enablement.
• Assist with concept development, layout design, mockups, visual systems and presentation materials.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, product managers and engineers to ensure brand‑aligned solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, creative discussions and cross‑functional project meetings.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s (or higher) in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Brand Design, Industrial Design, Marketing Design or a related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design, branding, layout and typography.
• Excellent communication, organization and collaboration skills.
• Interest in B2B marketing, industrial or safety products.

Required skills

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
