Ultrasound Systems Engineer

About the role

The Ultrasound Systems Engineer will play a critical role in creating next‑generation ultrasound products that help save lives worldwide. This position involves applying acoustic wave propagation and signal‑processing theory to design new imaging algorithms and subsystems.

Key responsibilities

• Apply acoustic wave propagation and signal‑processing theory to design and specify new imaging algorithms and subsystems.
• Coordinate the design, development, and integration of new ultrasound systems and transducers.
• Tune diagnostic ultrasound systems for optimum image quality across various transducers and features.
• Lead development and implementation of new ultrasound imaging capabilities, including planning, algorithm design, integration strategy, and software implementation.
• Collaborate with Research, Marketing, and Product Management to define feature requirements for clinical applications and market needs.
• Develop and participate in medical ultrasound feasibility and research projects to support R&D.

Required profile

• Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Acoustics, Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field, or a Master’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in ultrasound imaging, beamforming, acquisition design, acoustic wave propagation theory, and clinical laboratory work.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Research, Marketing, and Product Management.
• Capability to meet the physical, cognitive, and environmental requirements of the role.

• Salary range $115,000 – $182,000 per year.
