UI/UX Designer for Georgia Public Broadcasting

About the role

Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) is seeking a creative UI/UX Designer to shape the digital experience of its highly visited website, mobile apps, and other online properties. The role involves translating content from the CMS into modern, responsive designs that engage over 10 million citizens across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Design pixel‑perfect website mockups, app layouts, AR/VR experiences, printed collateral, and promotional materials.
• Interpret client requirements and organizational direction to create maintainable, responsive designs using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Improve existing templates and stay current with design trends and accessibility standards.
• Prepare developer‑ready handoffs with clear specifications, assets, and annotations.

Required profile

• Solid experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) and a related degree or equivalent experience.
• High proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
• Knowledge of the latest accessibility standards.
• Experience building responsive websites with CSS and HTML.
• Familiarity with Drupal, WordPress, or similar CMS platforms is a plus.
• Experience with AI‑assisted design tools is a plus.
• Ability to handle feedback, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively.
