Trust Officer

About the role

Osaic is hiring a Trust Officer for its Premier Trust unit, located at 2270 Corporate Circle, Suite 200, Henderson, Nevada. The Trust Officer administers assigned accounts, represents the company in dealings with customers, outside professionals and beneficiaries, and holds discretionary distribution approval at board-approved levels. The role may also involve supervising one or more employees. The schedule is hybrid, with a minimum of four days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Administer accounts in line with the governing instrument and the needs of principals, beneficiaries and remaindermen
• Contact interested parties and advise colleagues on proposed plans, passing information to the marketing administrator
• Assist in analysing fund needs, coordinate and review the preparation of federal and state trust tax returns, and prepare initial and annual trust reviews
• Establish and maintain client data, initiate and fund new accounts, and complete discretionary requests to the TAC committee
• Ensure compliance with state trust regulations, the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC AML and USA PATRIOT Act requirements, and report suspicious activity to the BSA/Compliance Officer
• Take part in annual BSA/AML/OFAC and compliance training and stay current on regulatory rulings

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED acceptable
• Two or more years of trust administration experience in the financial services industry, or equivalent education and experience
• Strong knowledge of state trust compliance regulations, policies and procedures
• Current driver's license and a vehicle with insurance if driving is required

Required skills

• Personal computer operation, word processing and spreadsheets (Microsoft Word, Excel)
• Intermediate math skills and good written and oral communication
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to multi-task
