Senior Trust Officer (Team Lead) - Premier Trust

About the role

Osaic is hiring a Senior Trust Officer for its Premier Trust unit, located in Henderson, Nevada. The role administers complex trust accounts and represents the company with clients, outside professionals and beneficiaries. It provides leadership, training and support to less experienced trust officers and ensures compliance with trust policies and state regulations. The position is full-time, paid $83,250-$100,000 per year plus an annual bonus, with a hybrid schedule of at least four days in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Administer accounts according to the governing instrument and the needs of principals, beneficiaries and remaindermen
• Contact and correspond with parties interested in an account
• Coordinate and review the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns for trusts
• Submit discretionary investment and distribution requests for committee approval
• Pay trust expenses and maintain client data
• Advise the client's attorney on drafting legal documents for trusts
• Help initiate and fund new accounts
• Answer calls, direct callers to the right people and report suspicious activity to the BSA/Compliance Officer
• Complete annual BSA/AML/OFAC and compliance training

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferred; five or more years of trust administration experience in financial services, or equivalent education and experience
• Advanced knowledge of state trust compliance regulations, trust policies and products
• Experience leading teams and knowledge of human resources laws and policies
• Ability to mentor and train less experienced staff
• Preferred: Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) license

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
• Advanced math skills for calculating interest and balances, including rates, ratios and percentages
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time without supervision
