Tribal Patrol Liaison I‑II

About the role

The Tribal Patrol Liaison provides safety and security for Tribal community members, employees, guests, and property across Tribal lands. Working under the Director of Tribal Patrol, the liaison acts as a visible deterrent, enforces Tribal policies, and builds culturally respectful relationships while coordinating with local law enforcement.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol Tribal facilities and grounds on foot or vehicle, monitor entrances, exits and surveillance systems for suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances or emergencies, prepare daily activity reports, incident logs and shift summaries.
• Enforce Tribal policies, curfews and safety rules; serve as liaison with local law enforcement during emergencies.
• Provide first‑aid treatment, administer CPR/AED, and document medical assistance.
• Conduct equipment inspections, restrain unruly individuals when certified, and assist with traffic and crowd control at events.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; valid California Class C driver’s license.
• Tribal Patrol I: minimum three months related experience; Tribal Patrol II: one to two years related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old, pass drug screening and background check.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• First Aid/CPR and AED certification (to be obtained within 90 days).
• Ability to obtain a Guard Card and BSIS enrollment.
• Proficiency with MS Word and incident‑reporting software.
