Traveling Store Set-Up Specialist

About the role

Pet Supplies Plus is looking for a Traveling Store Set-Up Specialist to partner with store teams in setting up new stores. The specialist directs store team members, rotates with other set-up team members to lead the process, and ensures the project is completed accurately and on time. The role involves extensive travel, including overnight trips.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and accompany store team members while unloading merchandise, installing shelving, stocking shelves to store standards and setting up store fixtures.
• Inspect work so it meets company standards and safety standards.
• Keep project activities within budgeted hours, deadlines and allotted resources.
• Deliver strong customer service to internal and external customers.
• Give timely project status updates to Store Leaders (Store Manager and District Team Leader) and Store Development Leaders.
• Partner with the construction team on punch list expectations for store construction.
• Implement new procedures, best practices, tools and efficiencies for new stores.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to travel 90%+ of the year, including overnight travel for up to 45 weeks per year.
• Experience leading teams and/or directing others.
• Valid driver's license, at least 21 years old, and reliable transportation to stores and/or airports.
• Must pass drug screening.
• Comfortable in a demanding, fast-paced environment and able to adapt to change.
• Able to lift up to 45 lbs. and stand, kneel and bend for 2-10 hours a day.
