Trauma Sales Representative - Santa Monica

About the role

Stryker is looking for a Trauma Sales Representative in Santa Monica, California. The role is field-based and involves selling Stryker Trauma products to surgeons and other healthcare professionals with a high degree of intensity and commitment. The representative becomes the resident trauma expert, organizing materials and solutions quickly during operating room and emergency room consultations.

Key responsibilities

• Sell Stryker Trauma products that meet customers' needs, acting as the resident trauma expert for surgeons and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain and manage inventory of products so that the right product or tool is available to implement a solution.
• Provide advice and training on products and tools used to save lives, drawing on knowledge of both own products and competitors' offerings.
• Assist customers whenever the need arises.
• Attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside regular business hours as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in a clinical healthcare or sales role (or a combination of the two).
• 3+ years of sales experience preferred.
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with surgeons and hospitals in the area would be beneficial.
• Comfortable in emergency and operating room environments.
• Willingness to adhere to compliance and ethical principles (AdvaMed), including confidentiality, ethics, integrity and reporting of non-compliance.

Required skills

• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products, including marketing strategy, product demonstration, sales techniques and sales control systems.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Use of current office technologies such as MS Office and databases.
