Transportation Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Engineer to lead a variety of roadway and infrastructure projects from concept through construction. You will work within a collaborative team, enjoy a flexible comp‑time policy, and have access to mentorship that supports both technical depth and project‑management growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyze freeways, interstates, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, and shared‑use trails.
• Prepare studies, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, technicians, and field staff to deliver projects on schedule and budget.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams, conduct stakeholder meetings, and manage client interfaces.
• Assist in proposal development, including oral presentations, scope definition, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Negotiate contract revisions with sub‑consultants and clients, and ensure compliance with codes and specifications.
• Perform independent reviews of calculations and drawings, and take ownership of projects from start to finish.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure.
• 8+ years of experience in transportation engineering and plan preparation.

Required skills

• AutoCAD Civil 3D (and related transportation design software).
• Hydraulics analysis.
• Traffic analysis and modeling.
