Training Specialist – MSHA

About the role

Atalco Gramercy, LLC is looking for a proactive Training Specialist to design, deliver, and maintain a high‑quality training program that meets Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) requirements for new and experienced miners. The role serves as the subject‑matter expert for MSHA Parts 46 and 48, ensuring safe, compliant operations through effective training.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct new‑miner, annual refresher, and task‑specific training in line with MSHA regulations.
• Develop engaging training materials such as presentations, manuals, assessments, and hands‑on exercises.
• Maintain accurate training records, certificates, and required documentation.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust content to improve comprehension and retention.
• Stay current on MSHA regulatory updates, industry trends, and emerging safety practices.
• Perform site visits to assess hazards, observe work practices, and incorporate real‑world examples into training.
• Collaborate with safety managers, supervisors, and leadership to identify training needs and compliance gaps.
• Support incident investigations by providing insight into training‑related factors and corrective actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture through coaching, communication, and positive engagement.

Required profile

• Successful completion of Atalco Gramercy’s drug screening and physical examination.
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required prior to offer acceptance.
• MSHA training to be completed upon hire.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Collaborative team player who shares knowledge and supports others.
