Training Lead

About the role

The University of Maryland’s Division of Information Technology is seeking a Training Lead to join the Elevate team. In this role you will oversee a group of training specialists and drive the creation, delivery, and continuous improvement of training programs for the Workday Student information system.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of instructor‑led sessions, workshops, and documentation for Workday Student.
• Translate complex technical, functional, and security configurations into clear learning materials.
• Manage and mentor a team of training specialists, ensuring high‑quality training output.
• Collaborate with project teams, campus stakeholders, and the Elevate leadership to align training with implementation timelines.
• Maintain and update training content in LMS/EMS platforms and monitor learner proficiency.
• Provide support during system roll‑outs, including after‑hours or weekend work as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading training initiatives in a higher‑education or similar institutional environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage contributors and oversee the production of training materials.
• Strong instructional‑design expertise with a focus on technical and role‑based learning.
• Excellent collaboration and detail‑orientation in fast‑moving project settings.
