Training and Compliance Manager - Cargo

About the role

Swissport, a global leader in aviation services, is looking for a Training and Compliance Manager for its cargo business at Dulles, Virginia. The role trains, monitors and evaluates cargo employees while making sure company and customer service standards and policies are met. The expected salary is $75,000 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial training and schedule and deliver recurrent training
• Audit and evaluate operations and colleagues for compliance
• Maintain training files and records of all cargo employees in line with Airport Authority rules and regulations
• Perform quality assurance and give direction to quality control personnel on training matters
• Administer customer cargo audits and develop training materials and programs according to standards
• Prepare examinations and progress reports for initial and recurrent training programs
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of all cargo employees

Required profile

• Degree preferred
• At least 3 years of cargo experience
• At least 1 year of classroom instruction or 3 years of on-the-job trainer experience preferable
• Knowledge of cargo, traffic office and ramp procedures
• Ability to pass a security clearance (criminal background check)
• Valid driver's license
• Supervisory experience leading large work groups
• Comfortable working with screening equipment and operating large equipment such as industrial forklifts
• Flexible to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and graphic programs
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
