Passenger Services Supervisor (Bilingual English/Spanish)

About the role

Swissport, a global leader in ground handling, cargo handling and passenger services, is hiring a Passenger Services Supervisor at its Dulles, Virginia location. The supervisor leads, motivates and engages all staff so that customer experiences are delivered in line with Swissport procedures, policies and brand values. The expected pay rate is $23.00-$25.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Lead by example to deliver consistently great customer experiences at every touchpoint
• Take responsibility for quality, health, safety and environmental activities at the station, aiming to reduce employee injuries, aircraft and equipment damage
• Monitor and control overtime payments and use available resources optimally
• Identify training needs and train, coach and mentor the team
• Create and maintain an open feedback culture by managing employee performance
• Resolve customer service challenges promptly and help negotiate with new customers
• Enforce the passenger service budget strictly
• Ensure compliance with all SOPs, policies, safety and security procedures and regulatory standards
• Contribute to change in the operational environment and spot new business opportunities

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Relevant work experience and passion for customer service
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Leadership and people management skills, with a proven ability to solve problems and make decisions
• Planning and organizing skills, commitment to continuous improvement
• Good understanding of regulatory and recommended procedures for the airport environment
