Ticket/Gate Agent (Customer Service)

About the role

Delta Air Lines is seeking enthusiastic Ticket/Gate Agents to be the first point of contact for travelers. In this entry‑level position you will guide passengers through check‑in, boarding and baggage handling while ensuring a smooth and safe airport experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the check‑in and boarding processes, including seat allocation and gate announcements.
• Verify travel documentation and assist passengers with ticketing and baggage check‑in.
• Tag, lift (up to 70 lb) and move baggage from scales to conveyor belts.
• Operate loading bridges, open, close and secure aircraft doors.
• Escort unaccompanied minors and passengers with disabilities throughout the airport.
• Work shifts ranging from early morning to overnight, based on operational needs (20‑40 hours per week).

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Commitment to safety, security and diversity.
• Ability to pass a Physical Ability Test and a Customer Service Assessment.
