Ticket Seller Supervisor (Part-Time)

About the role

The Ticket Seller Supervisor supports Box Office operations at the Peoria Civic Center by supervising part-time ticket sellers during evening and weekend events. The position reports to the Box Office Manager and is part-time, hourly and non-exempt.

Key responsibilities

• Cash handling according to established procedures, preparing cash drawers at shift start and auditing them at shift end
• Keep selling supplies stocked and available for ticket sellers
• Sell tickets to patrons as needed
• Enter data, update spreadsheets and produce the executive sales report
• Provide sales information to authorized parties and communicate with Event Staff and Promoters during events
• Assist with staff scheduling and handle patron and seller issues
• Supervise the part-time ticket sellers who report to this position

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Fluent English, spoken and written
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Supervisory experience required; prior ticketing experience preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed

Required skills

• Ability to count cash accurately and work with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to train staff and professional written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in email and familiarity with MS Office (Word and Excel)
• Use of an electronic timeclock, ticketing equipment, calculator, telephone and credit card machine

• Starting pay of $18 to $22 per hour depending on experience
