Ticket Scanner - Caesars Superdome

About the role

ASM Global, which manages public assembly venues, has an immediate opening for a Ticket Scanner in its Guest Services department at the Caesars Superdome / Smoothie King Center / Champions Square in New Orleans. The position reports to the Guest Services Staffing Supervisor and is paid hourly (non-exempt).

Key responsibilities

• Greet each guest warmly and give general directions to the correct seating area.
• Familiarise yourself with the ticket system for each event, including special passes or credentials.
• Admit guests with a valid ticket, pass or credential and deny entry to unauthorised people.
• Keep the lines of guests moving quickly.
• Tell guests that smoking is only allowed in designated areas (Gates B, D, F and H) and ask them to put out cigarettes before entering.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old and must pass a criminal background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of customer service or retail experience required.
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Required skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to read and understand written English.
• Able to distinguish the colours of different credentials.
• Able to stand for long periods (up to 6 hours) and climb stairs.
• Able to tolerate heat, cold and dampness.
