Thumbnail Designer for Social Media

About the role

HighKey is seeking a Thumbnail Designer who understands viewer psychology, click‑through rate (CTR) dynamics, and visual hierarchy. You will create short‑form social media thumbnails that capture attention, spark curiosity, and clearly convey the core idea of each piece of content.

Key responsibilities

• Design thumbnails for Reels, Shorts, TikTok, and other platforms, maintaining high visual impact.
• Translate video concepts into clear, curiosity‑driven visual hooks.
• Collaborate closely with video editors and content strategists to ensure consistency.
• Produce high‑volume work without sacrificing quality, iterating based on performance data.

Required profile

• Strong portfolio that showcases thumbnail design work.
• Clear understanding of CTR‑driven design, facial expressions, contrast, framing, and text hierarchy.
• Ability to work quickly, meet deadlines, and manage multiple client projects.
• Comfortable receiving direct feedback and iterating rapidly.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Photoshop or equivalent design tools.
• Experience creating performance‑focused thumbnail designs for social media.
