UI/UX Designer – Full‑Time On‑Site

About the role

Folders.Com is seeking a self‑motivated UI/UX Designer to join its on‑site team in Pontiac. You will be responsible for creating and optimizing website designs that deliver strong user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Define user requirements, create wire‑frames, mock‑ups and prototypes, and conduct usability testing.
• Develop front‑end design assets including graphics, XML, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and collaborate with graphic designers, writers, merchandisers and developers.
• Analyze production‑site performance with website optimizer tools and continuously improve designs.

Required profile

• Self‑starter able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Minimum two years of UI/UX design experience for web applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to describe problems and solutions concisely.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Hands‑on experience with XML, HTML, CSS, AJAX and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Microsoft development tools such as Visual Studio or Expression.
• Knowledge of website optimization and usability testing methods.
