Third-Party Risk Management Consultant

About the role

The Third‑Party Risk Management (TPRM) Consultant will work hands‑on to implement and sustain a robust third‑party risk framework for a financial services organization. This role blends execution with advisory insight, requiring the consultant to perform risk activities while identifying practical improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and address existing issues in the TPRM process, including due‑diligence reviews for new and existing vendors.
• Identify and close significant gaps in legacy contracts.
• Support vendor termination processes and manage related documentation.
• Clear backlog in governance activities, especially for outsourcing and cloud services.
• Interpret and apply regulatory guidance such as NYS DFS Third‑Party guidance and DORA.
• Ensure timely review and alignment of internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Required profile

• Prior experience in third‑party or vendor risk management within a banking or financial services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to execute risk assessments and remediation activities independently.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., NYS DFS, DORA).
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on practical improvement.
