Test Vehicle Engineer

About the role

Rolls‑Royce is seeking a Test Vehicle Engineer to join its Indianapolis team. You will work alongside a group of test engineers to plan, design, and execute subsystem‑level tests that support critical development programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute mechanical testing of subsystems and components.
• Design and construct test setups to meet specified performance criteria.
• Coordinate test readiness reviews, risk assessments and data‑review sessions.
• Design, troubleshoot and maintain complex electro‑mechanical test systems, instrumentation, data‑acquisition and experimental control equipment.
• Perform data analysis for troubleshooting and present results to internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage facility assets and instrumentation, including calibration schedules and periodic maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 1 year of engineering experience, or a Master’s/PhD in Engineering.
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
