Temporary Service Technician – Interurban Building

About the role

The Service Technician (Temporary) will ensure that the Interurban Building’s physical assets, common areas, and amenities meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This onsite role involves responding to resident service requests, performing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new occupants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders generated from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks, and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, track usage, return unused items, and notify the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and painting curbs and signage as required.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• Ability to follow Greystar’s safety and risk‑management policies, including participation in routine safety meetings.
• Attention to detail in inspections, documentation, and inventory management.
• Physical capability to perform manual labor, lift equipment, and work in various building environments.
