Temporary Assistant Coach Diving / Pool Manager

About the role

The Temporary Assistant Coach Diving will support the head coach of a Division I program, handling recruitment, coaching, fundraising, and administrative duties while also managing day‑to‑day operations of Barletta Pool.

Key responsibilities

• Assist head coach with recruitment, practice, competition coaching, and off‑season conditioning for women’s diving.
• Oversee Barletta Pool operations, maintenance, and safety compliance.
• Hire, train, test, and certify lifeguards; ensure water health and safety standards.
• Inspect pool facilities for risk management, schedule maintenance, and cover events on weekends, mornings, and evenings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2‑4 years of Division I women’s diving coaching and recruiting experience.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and travel as team schedules demand.

Required skills

• American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification.
• American Red Cross Professional Rescuer certification.
• CPR/AED Instructor certification.
• National Swimming Pool Foundation Certified Pool Operator certification.
• Knowledge of swimming pool water chemistry, temperature, and cleanliness standards.
