Technology Project Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Director, the Technology Manager leads the strategy, development, and administration of the Workforce Center’s technology ecosystem. The role supports more than 1,000 students, instructors, and staff by delivering reliable digital learning platforms and business operations tools.

Key responsibilities

• Manage student‑facing systems including Canvas LMS, DestinyOne registration, Salesforce, Zoom/WebEx, WordPress sites, virtual labs and digital courseware.
• Oversee core business technologies such as email‑marketing, customer‑engagement, digital‑badging and evaluation platforms, ensuring integration and workflow automation.
• Provide first‑line IT support to over 1,000 users, maintaining platform reliability and user satisfaction.
• Lead technology projects from planning through execution, aligning deliverables with strategic objectives.
• Supervise technical staff, set performance goals, and foster professional development.
• Collaborate with university stakeholders and SLU IT Services to ensure data security, accessibility, and compliance.
• Manage licensing, lifecycle operations, system usage monitoring, documentation, and long‑term technology planning.

Required profile

• Proven success managing enterprise IT systems and cross‑functional teams.
• Experience driving digital transformation in an educational or similar environment.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Capacity to align technology initiatives with institutional goals.
