Technical Services Engineer – Application Support

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Services Engineer to join Bosch Rexroth’s HydraForce division. In this inside‑application engineering role you will steer customer projects from concept through release, provide technical validation of circuit designs and act as the first line of technical support for sales and end‑users.

Key responsibilities

• Review incoming application projects for correct technical design, completeness and required documentation such as manifold layouts.
• Generate rapid quotations using i‑Choose Pro and assign projects to the HIC design group, resolving any technical queries.
• Submit Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for modifications to released blocks and guide projects through the release process.
• Collaborate with the sales‑operations specialist to continuously improve the application engineering workflow.
• Provide inside technical support via email and voicemail, delivering accurate information on hydraulic cartridge valves, prints and 3‑D models.
• Perform basic mechanical, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting and support application‑lab testing.
• Travel up to 25 % of the time to customer sites or internal facilities as required.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and highly organized with the ability to translate ideas into structured actions.
• Strong communication skills to interact with sales, engineering and customers.
• Willingness to develop a career path toward application engineering.

Required skills

• Proficiency with i‑Choose Pro quotation software.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience reviewing technical designs and documentation.
• Familiarity with Engineering Change Request (ECR) processes.
• Basic troubleshooting of hydraulic cartridge valves and related components.
