Technical Sales Engineer – Eastern NC & Southeast VA

About the role

As a Technical Sales Engineer you will support customers across key manufacturing sectors—including aerospace, defense, automotive, power generation, oil & gas, and more—by providing tailored metal‑cutting solutions throughout Eastern North Carolina and Southeast Virginia.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow business with end‑users and distributor partners, driving new business and expanding existing accounts.
• Consult with customers to design and deliver metal‑cutting solutions that meet their manufacturing needs.
• Travel 50‑60% of the time across the territory to engage customers, conduct joint calls with distributors, and provide technical support.
• Balance solution selling with territory planning, sales administration, and reporting.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of successful technical, consultative sales experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Strong technical aptitude with proven experience in metal‑cutting or manufacturing solutions.
• Ability to work independently from a home/virtual office.
• Proactive, self‑directed, results‑oriented with a solution‑driven mindset.
• Willingness to travel extensively and reside within the assigned territory.
