About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Publication II to develop, write, and edit technical sales and marketing documents for semiconductor equipment. The role supports product documentation across system manuals, operation instructions, reports, briefs, and proposals. You will collaborate with engineering, Global Product Support, and Applied Global Services to ensure accurate and timely documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit material for technical sales and marketing documents, including system manuals, operation instructions, reports, briefs, and proposals.
• Observe production, developmental, and experimental activities to determine operating procedures and details.
• Interview production and engineering personnel to become familiar with product technologies and production methods.
• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, part lists, specifications, mock‑ups, and product samples to integrate technology, operating procedures, and production sequences.
• Review published materials and recommend revisions in scope, format, content, and reproduction.
• Drive suppliers to deliver documentation on time and ensure timely review of technical documentation.

• Salary range: $68,000 – $93,500 per year.
