Technical Project Manager – Managed Services

About the role

We are seeking an MSP Technical Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects for multiple managed‑services clients. The role serves as the primary liaison between clients, internal technical teams, and vendors, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of concurrent IT projects (infrastructure, cloud, security, applications) from initiation through deployment and handoff.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering scope, timeline, resources, dependencies, and budgets.
• Facilitate requirements gathering, document technical and business requirements, and translate them into clear work packages.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (engineers, service desk, networking, cloud, security, vendors) to ensure timely, high‑quality execution.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and adjust plans to keep projects on track.
• Maintain regular client communication, provide status updates, and manage expectations.
• Own project documentation such as statements of work, change orders, schedules, status reports, acceptance criteria, and handover documents.
• Track and report key metrics (milestones, budget, profitability, risks, customer satisfaction) to leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years managing technical projects, with at least 2 years in an MSP, VAR, or IT services provider environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent client projects in a ticket‑ and SLA‑driven setting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to translate technical topics into business language.

Required skills

• Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, firewalls, Microsoft 365.
• Experience with MSP toolsets (RMM/PSA).
• Project management tools: Jira, ClickUp, Asana, MS Project.
• Productivity tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
