Technical Program Manager (Data, Data & AI)
greystar
Job description
About the role
Greystar, a global real estate platform, is looking for an experienced, hands-on Technical Program Manager to lead engineering initiatives within its Digital, Data & AI team. The TPM owns the how and when of delivery, working across data engineering, application engineering (web and mobile) and infrastructure, while Product Managers own the product direction and roadmap. The role is remote.
Key responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of initiatives, from scoping through launch, across data, product and infrastructure teams.
- Partner with Product Managers to turn product strategy and roadmaps into executable delivery plans, covering sequencing, dependencies and delivery risk.
- Drive delivery of web and mobile features, API/service integrations and releases, with enough fluency in app architecture to pressure-test estimates and sequence workstreams.
- Resolve stalled decisions with clear options, a recommended default and a named owner.
- Assess risks and opportunities regularly, drive process improvements and simplify operations.
- Run the delivery operating system in Linear, including sprint planning, dependency tracking, RACI and status reporting.
- Lead initiatives with a heavy data component, coordinating data readiness, integration and quality.
Required profile
- Proven track record managing large-scale, complex technical initiatives with personal ownership of delivery.
- Ability to move from ambiguous problems to detailed solutions and to lead across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Strong working knowledge of data (reading data models, pipelines and integrations, data quality) and application development (architecture diagrams, client-server and API dependencies, technical debt, release readiness).
- Experience building processes from scratch and working in highly cross-functional environments.
- Quick learner who can ramp up on new technologies and build working knowledge across data, application and infrastructure work.
- Excellent written and oral communication and stakeholder influence.
Required skills
- Experience with Linear, or similar tools such as Jira or Asana.
- Fluency in data and application architectures and in estimating delivery.
What we offer
- Salary range of $115,000 - $140,000 USD annually, with possible quarterly or annual bonus.
- Medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, plus additional critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, pet and legal plans.
- Paid time off: 15 vacation days, 4 personal days, 10 sick days and 11 paid holidays, plus birthday off after 1 year.
- 401(k) with company match up to 6% after 6 months, paid parental leave and fertility benefit reimbursement up to $10,000.
- Employee assistance program and charitable giving program.
