Technical Product Support Engineer III (TPS)

About the role

Technical Product Support (TPS) Engineer III provides third‑level escalation support for hardware and software stability issues on semiconductor and display equipment, driving failure analysis, product performance monitoring, and on‑site installation and calibration for new hardware and processes.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in new product introductions, early learning shipments, and resolve critical long‑term customer issues.
• Provide third‑level escalation for hardware and software stability problems and conduct failure analysis to identify root causes.
• Deliver Alpha and Beta site support for installation, operation, calibration, service, and testing of new hardware, software, or processes.
• Review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to ensure data supports fixes and communicate updates to the field.
• Generate and present system performance data such as MTBF, MTBI, and availability, and support documentation creation (CENs, BKMs).

Required profile

• Demonstrates depth of expertise in hardware performance and software stability within a specialized discipline.
• Leads functional teams or projects with moderate complexity and guides others to solve complex technical problems.
• Communicates technical concepts effectively and negotiates solutions with customers and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Hardware performance analysis and troubleshooting.

• System performance metrics (MTBF, MTBI, Availability) reporting.

• Salary range $96,000 – $132,000 per year.
