Technical Leader (Azure, Data & AI) – Fully Remote

About the role

iData is hiring a Technical Leader for a fully remote position in Latin America. The role leads the definition, architecture, review and oversight of end-to-end solutions focused on data, analytics and artificial intelligence, aligning client needs with iData's standards. It acts as the main technical advisor to the client and internal team, taking part in strategic conversations, decisions, architecture and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the strategic technical interlocutor: lead architecture discussions, manage expectations, handle difficult conversations and guide clients on high-value technical decisions.
• Design cloud and data architectures in Azure (80-90% of the ecosystem), integrating data platforms such as Databricks and Fabric, and AI patterns such as RAG, agents and AI Foundry.
• Review and supervise code quality (Python, SQL, PySpark, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#/.NET) without writing code yourself.
• Implement secure data platform connectivity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), including Private Endpoints, Hub-Spoke and Private Link, working with the client's network team.
• Promote CI/CD and IaC practices with Terraform or Bicep.
• Mentor the assigned team, resolve blockers and follow up on deliverables.
• Apply basic data governance, security and secure development practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Data or related fields.
• 7 to 10 years of technology experience, including proven leadership of data/cloud architecture solutions and direct client interaction.
• Supplementary training in data architecture, technical leadership, data governance or cloud strategy.

Required skills

• Azure (advanced); AWS / GCP at a conceptual level.
• Cloud networking implemented in Terraform (Hub-Spoke, Private Link, Private Endpoints).
• Strong command of either Databricks or Microsoft Fabric, with solid Apache Spark/PySpark knowledge.
• Understanding of generative AI architectures (RAG, KAG, CAG, Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI / AI Foundry).
• Code review capability in Python, SQL, PySpark, JavaScript/TypeScript and C#/.NET.
