Technical Documentation & Content Engineer for Claude Docs

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Technical Documentation and Content Engineer to own and evolve the Claude Docs documentation estate. You will be responsible for unifying the architecture, standards, and automated systems that keep the documentation high‑quality across multiple Claude products.

Key responsibilities

• Own the information architecture, style, and editorial standards of the Claude Docs site as a single unified surface.
• Design, build, and operate automated documentation pipelines, including self‑healing processes and AI‑assisted review.
• Define conventions and tooling that product teams adopt to keep their own documentation accurate and consistent.
• Maintain the style guide, standard content types, and clear workflows for creating, reviewing, and publishing documentation.
• Curate contributions from across the company, edit for clarity and consistency, and prune stale content.
• Define and track metrics of content quality and discoverability, using reader feedback and analytics to drive improvements.

Required profile

• 5+ years working at the intersection of documentation, user education, and software engineering.
• Experience guiding a documentation platform migration or redesign.
• Knowledge of evaluation frameworks or observability for AI‑powered systems.
• Content analytics and experimentation experience.
• Strong technical writing and editing skills with the ability to set high editorial standards.
• Experience establishing editorial standards and information architecture for a substantial technical documentation site.
