Technical Consultant – Remote (Canada/US)

About the role

The Technical Consultant will join the Cayenta Managed Services team to manage and maintain technical environments that support customers' Cayenta ERP and Customer Information Systems. This hands‑on position focuses on on‑premises environments with growth into Microsoft Azure cloud operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer SQL Server and Oracle databases, perform system administration for Windows and Linux servers, and support Azure infrastructure.
• Monitor customer environments, proactively address availability, reliability, security, and performance issues.
• Troubleshoot technical problems, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions across teams.
• Maintain ticketing systems, apply patches, releases, and configuration changes.
• Document solutions, create runbooks, and share knowledge with the team.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in technical support, system or database administration, or managed services.
• Strong curiosity, resourcefulness, and ownership mindset for investigating unfamiliar issues.
• Willingness to adopt AI‑enabled tools responsibly while validating outputs.
