Technical Architect

About the role

An award-winning, design-driven architecture firm is looking for a Technical Architect with 10+ years of experience to lead quality assurance, quality control and technical leadership across a diverse portfolio of institutional, academic, civic, commercial, religious and residential projects. The firm values design excellence, sustainability, mentorship and professional growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quality assurance and quality control reviews of contract documents at key project milestones.
• Collaborate with project teams on detailing, technical coordination and code compliance strategies.
• Mentor and support developing architectural staff to strengthen technical knowledge and best practices.
• Incorporate sustainability initiatives and performance considerations into project reviews.
• Investigate technical and quality-related issues and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• 10+ years of architectural experience, preferably with institutional projects and complex building types.
• Professional degree in Architecture.
• Strong understanding of building codes, including IBC, IECC, NFPA 101, accessibility requirements and local development regulations.
• Extensive knowledge of construction detailing, building systems and technical documentation.
