Project Manager - Commercial Architecture

About the role

A nationally recognized, award-winning architecture and design practice in Austin, Texas, is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from concept through construction. The firm works across residential, academic, civic, commercial and institutional projects and offers a collaborative, people-focused environment that values innovation, sustainability, professional growth and strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects through all phases of design and delivery, keeping them within scope, schedule and budget.
• Direct and coordinate project teams, fostering collaboration and providing clear communication and leadership.
• Support project planning, including scope development, fee validation, budgeting and contract coordination.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee construction administration, quality control reviews, risk management and staff mentorship.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Architecture with 10+ years of industry experience.
• Proactive leadership style, enjoyment of mentoring teams and passion for delivering design solutions.
• Demonstrated commitment to sustainability; LEED AP accreditation is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp/FormIt.
• Strong knowledge of architectural design, construction documentation, building systems, codes and construction methodologies.
• Excellent presentation, communication and leadership skills, including conveying design concepts verbally, visually and by sketch.
