Tech Lead, Agentic Engineering

About the role

At Sema4.ai we are building an Enterprise AI Agent platform that redefines how knowledge work happens. The Tech Lead, Agentic Engineering will own the core agent framework, combining hands‑on development with architectural leadership to enable AI‑human collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical implementation, writing production‑grade Python code, optimizing LLM performance and building core platform capabilities.
• Define technical direction, set standards, review critical code and ensure architecture aligns with product vision.
• Design and implement the agent framework, orchestration systems and LLM integration patterns, making decisions on model selection and prompting strategies.
• Mentor senior engineers, conduct technical reviews and elevate the team’s AI and systems expertise.

Required profile

• GenAI expert with deep knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, context management, tool use, multi‑modality and model‑provider nuances.
• Technical visionary who anticipates AI trends, evaluates emerging models and retrieval techniques, and makes scalable architectural choices.
• Hands‑on builder who writes production Python code daily and leads by example on complex technical challenges.
