Team Leader Registered Nurse - PICU Nights

About the role

AdventHealth in Tampa is hiring a Team Leader Registered Nurse for its PICU nights shift. The position is full-time and involves preparing the unit's monthly schedule, supporting staff performance reviews and other nursing leadership duties.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly schedules for the assigned unit, ensuring coverage for all scheduled cases and add-on cases
• Assist with performance appraisals, corrective actions and counseling
• Provide required documentation for personnel files in a timely manner
• Complete duties within the necessary timeframe with minimal supervision, and perform other duties as assigned
• Communicate courteously with internal and external customers in person or by telephone

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1+ years of RN experience in critical care or a related specialty (preferred)
• 1+ years of leadership experience (preferred)
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certification (required)
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing

Required skills

• Basic computer skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• Organization, prioritization, time management and problem-solving skills
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work with people of varying technical levels
