Team Leader - Meat & Seafood (Weekends Required)

About the role

Meijer is hiring a Team Leader for its Meat and Seafood departments in Hillsdale. The leader is responsible for the day-to-day merchandising, stocking, product flow, planogram and pricing of the departments, and is directly responsible for the Meat team members. Weekend work is required.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver courteous, friendly and efficient service to customers and team members to maintain a positive company image.
• Help achieve financial performance goals in both the Meat and Seafood departments.
• Conduct interviews to ensure proper staffing levels and train Meat team members to build a high-performance team and reduce turnover.
• Write and manage Meat schedules to deliver first-class service while controlling expenses.
• Ensure Real Time Apply is completed accurately and on time, and that signing execution and pricing are accurate.
• Follow Meijer sanitation and safety procedures.
• Control and manage inventory shrinkage through back-of-house accuracy, production planners and rotation guidelines.
• Complete MITS tasks promptly and perform other duties as assigned.
