About the role
The Department of Chemistry at Emory University seeks an open‑rank teaching‑track professor to lead undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses in organic, biochemical, or biophysical chemistry. The appointment may be at the Assistant, Associate, or full Teaching Professor level, based on experience.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver undergraduate chemistry lectures and labs.
- Supervise graduate teaching assistants and undergraduate learning assistants.
- Contribute to the innovative undergraduate curriculum, Chemistry Unbound.
- Engage in departmental service and collaborative teaching initiatives.
Required profile
- Ph.D. in organic chemistry, biochemistry, or biophysical chemistry (required at start of appointment).
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate chemistry courses.
- Commitment to teamwork and collective departmental goals.
- Experience with evidence‑based pedagogy and instructional creativity.
