Tax Manager

About the role

Henry & Peters, a middle-market CPA firm with over 130 employees and offices in Tyler, Longview and Frisco, is hiring a Tax Manager for its growing Frisco office. The role manages tax engagements, leads client relationships and develops staff while supporting the firm's growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead tax engagements and act as a trusted advisor to clients
• Review complex individual, trust, estate, partnership, S-corp and C-corp returns
• Research technical tax issues and provide strategic recommendations
• Mentor and develop staff in a collaborative, supportive environment
• Identify opportunities to improve client service and firm growth

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
• 6+ years of public accounting experience
• Active CPA license
• Leadership experience

Required skills

• Advanced technical tax knowledge
• Strong communication, problem-solving and project-management skills
• Experience with Lacerte, CCH, QuickBooks, Adobe or Microsoft Office is a plus
