Tax Consultant

About the role

Elevance Health is seeking a Tax Consultant to join its Indianapolis team. This hybrid position blends on‑site collaboration 1‑2 days per week with remote work, allowing you to contribute to corporate and partnership tax compliance while maintaining work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare federal, state, local, premium, and personal property tax returns.
• Develop GAAP and statutory income tax provisions.
• Perform account reconciliations and respond to internal and external audit requests.
• Handle backup withholding filings, depositions, and related reconciliations.
• Process Form 1099 filings and respond to customer inquiries.
• Work with fixed‑asset, investment, sales‑and‑use tax, and tax information reporting systems.
• Analyze K‑1 statements for accurate tax reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 1‑2 years of experience in tax, accounting, or auditing.
• Completion of a tax department training program (preferred).
• Familiarity with tax software and compliance reporting.
