Tax Analyst – Corporate Income Tax (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Tax Analyst to join a publicly traded technology organization on a contract basis. The role supports the in‑house tax team with federal and multi‑state corporate income tax compliance, working in a fast‑paced environment from an Austin hybrid office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare federal corporate income tax returns and related filings.
• Prepare and assist with approximately 20 state corporate income tax returns.
• Enter, validate, and maintain tax return data in OneSource Income Tax (OIT) software.
• Develop tax compliance workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with internal tax team members to ensure timely filing of federal and state returns.
• Review financial and tax data for completeness and accuracy.
• Support estimates, extensions, and annual compliance requirements.
• Respond to tax notices and information requests from authorities.
• Conduct tax research as needed and maintain organized tax records.

Required profile

• 2+ years of corporate income tax experience.
• Experience preparing federal and state corporate income tax returns.
• Hands‑on experience with OneSource Income Tax (OIT).
• Background in a corporate tax department or public accounting tax practice.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
